A Guest Post. And Other Stuff.

This lady let me take over her space yesterday.

Such a privilege.  Thanks, Jeannett.

Her current fundraising series benefits children with special needs.

She asked that I share Ashlyn's story.

So I did.

If you haven't read it yet, you can read it here.

And if you feel inclined, please donate by clicking on the yellow "Chip In" button below.

It's a pretty amazing cause.

She's raising money for an incredible organization that provides children with new wheelchairs.

Children who would otherwise be unable to afford wheelchairs.

$59.50 buys one wheelchair.

Wanna buy a wheelchair?

I know you do.

Please do.

For Ashlyn?

Thank you.

this lady is hosting a fun mug swap.

Participate.  You'll get a mug.

Hopefully a cute one.

Also unrelated,

this lady is starting a fun new series on encouragement today.

Check it out.

Be encouraged.

Encourage someone else.

And... that's all I've got for today.

Happy Tuesday, friends!

  3. “When God is doing one thing, He is doing a million things.”
He is. He is. He is!!!

and we have no idea how God is working it all together for good for His glory. no idea..but He is.

    and your girl is BEAUTIFUL.

and i love that as you told your story you shared authentically what we would all struggle with. and then you told of the One your hope is in.

    you are beautiful.

  4. I also loved your guest post! I can't even imagine how I would react if I got news like that. I'm pretty sure that I would probably play the blame game too. But I really appreciate your thoughts on God making her just that way.

I teach the K-3 at our church, and on Sunday my lesson was on Jeremiah, and how God makes us the way he wants us before we're born, so it's been in my head this week anyway. Perfect timing to read your lovely post!

  5. read your post over @ life rearranged and you had me tearing up, friend. i love your honest, Jesus-loving, sweet-mothering heart. i'll be praying on sept 14th--that's my birthday so a great reminder to lift your precious fam up!
p.s. i was kidding about the crockpot, btw ;)

  6. L-O-V-E-D your post on J's blog. You have such a great attitude! Praying for the surgery!
